5 New Songs Out Today

So many artists, so many songs, so little time. Each week we review a handful of new albums (of all genres), round up even more new music that we’d call “indie,” and talk about what metal is coming out. DURAN DURAN – “SHADOWS ON YOUR SIDE”

Duran Duran are big fans of Halloween and have rerecorded 1983 single “Shadows on Your Side” with the holiday in mind. Nick Rhodes says this new version is filled with “the madness and joy of Halloween.”

FLORENCE + THE MACHINE – “SYMPATHY MAGIC”

Florence + The Machine’s anticipated new album Everybody Scream arrives this Friday, and ahead of that she’s shared a final advanced single, the dramatic, soaring “Sympathy Magic.”

ONEOHTRIX POINT NEVER – “MEASURING RUINS”

Here’s another ethereal track from 0PN’s upcoming album Tranquilizer.

AESOP ROCK – I HEARDS IT’S A MESS THERE TOO

Aesop Rock released the terrific ‘Black Hole Superette’ back in June and he’s already followed it up with a new album.

ROSALÍA FT BJÖRK & YVES TUMOR – “BERGHAIN”

Rosalía tapped Björk and Yves Tumor for this first taste of her new album LUX. Despite the title, “Berghain” is not techno…it’s opera.
