So many artists, so many songs, so little time. Each week we review a handful of new albums (of all genres), round up even more new music that we’d call “indie,” and talk about what metal is coming out. We post music news, track premieres, and more all day. We update a playlist weekly of some of our current favorite tracks. Here’s a daily roundup with a bunch of interesting, newly released songs in one place.

THE LAST DINNER PARTY – “LET’S DO IT AGAIN!”

The latest song to be released from War Child’s stacked charity album HELP(2) is The Last Dinner Party’s glammy art rocker “Let’s Do It Again!”

CHVRCHES – “SUCH GREAT HEIGHTS” (THE POSTAL SERVICE COVER)

CHVRCHES’ new Postal Service cover is from the third season finale of Hulu/Disney+ drama Tell Me Lies. “‘Such Great Heights’ is basically a perfect song so we were excited and terrified to cover it in equal measure,” Lauren Mayberry told Billboard U.K.. “The Postal Service is such a special band and their music means a lot to us.”

DENZEL CURRY, TIACORINE & FERG (THE SCYTHE) – “THE SCYTHE”

Denzel Curry’s new group The Scythe have shared their eponymous song from their upcoming debut project Strictly 4 The Scythe. This one’s a Southern rap banger by Denzel, TiaCorine, and (A$AP) Ferg.

HORSEGIIRL – “ONLY THE BEST”

horsegiirL’s new single “only the best” is the first track of her “new era.” “‘only the best’ is the story of someone who has everything the material world has to offer, and yet finds themself alone and desperate for love,” she says. “A reflection on what it really means to be rich. My dear friend and brilliant collaborator Casey MQ improvised the instrumental flute part hook, and we got so totally euphoric in the studio.”

ALAN SPARHAWK (LOW) – “JCMF” & “NO MORE DARKNESS”

Low co-founder Alan Sparhawk has shared two new songs featuring Eric Pollard on Drums and Sparhawk’s son, Cyrus Sparhawk, on bass.

EMILY NENNI – “LIVIN’ IN SHAME”

Country singer Emily Nenni is releasing her new album Movin’ Shoes on May 1 via New West. The first single is “Livin’ in Shame,” and Nenni says, “I’m proud to work with Joshua Shoemaker for the third time. ‘Livin’ in Shame’ is encouraging myself and others to be kinder to ourselves and our bodies, because we have been too critical for too long. This is filmed in reverse to convey the message of the song, with makeup being swiped away and left with the bare bones. I worked with a linguist who taught me to mouth the song backwards. This video was very outside of my comfort zone, but so is voicing my insecurities out loud.”

1000 RABBITS – “VIRGIN SOIL”

UK quintet 1000 Rabbits (FKA Rabbitfoot) have released their debut single via Young, the indie label that’s home to Sampha, The xx, Robyn, FKA twigs, and more. “Virgin Soil” starts in folk territory but grows larger and more layered as it goes before rocketing into a stratosphere of crashing drums and discordant noise. Awesome.

VISIBLE CLOAKS – DISQUE (FT. MOTION GRAPHICS)

Ambient electronic duo Visible Cloaks have announced Paradessence, their first album in nine years, which is out May 22 via RVNG Intl. Ease back into their world with “Disque.”

RACHEL LIME – “ELIDED”

ALABASTER DEPLUME – “IT’S ONLY NOW ONCE (ELBIT SYSTEMS WINDOWPANE)”

London-based multihyphenate Alabaster DePlume will release new EP Dear Children of Our Children, I Knew: Epilogue on May 5 via International Anthem. He made it during his March 2025 US tour with his collaborators on the road, bassist Shahzad Ismaily and drummer Tcheser Holmes at Ismaily’s Figure 8 studio in Brooklyn.

THUNDERCAT – “SHE KNOWS TOO MUCH” (FEAT. MAC MILLER)

“What can I say about Mac Miller that hasn’t been said, shared & explored with you all. I always considered Mac a ‘one man rat pack.’ Smooth like Frank, cool like Sammy, suave like Dean,” says Thundercat of his finally release collab with the late Mac Miller. “I wish that you all could have been there with us the moment this song was created in his garage.” It’s on Thundercat’s new album Distracted which is out April 3.

BROWN HORSE – “SORROW REIGNS”

We’ve been talking about Brown Horse as sort of the UK’s answer to MJ Lenderman/Wednesday type indie-country bands, and this new single from their upcoming third album Total Dive is a very fine example of why they deserve that title.

TEMPLE OF VOID – “SOULBURN”

Death-doomers Temple of Void have shared towering track from their upcoming LP The Crawl.

HOLLOW SUNS – “BACK TO DUST”

Tokyo grungegazers Hollow Suns have announced the Back to Dust EP, mixed by Will Yip and Justin Bartlett, arriving March 12 via Sunday Drive (with artwork by Brianna Collins of Tigers Jaw). Here’s the heavy, soaring title track.

WORLD I HATE – “YOUR PHANTASM”

Milwaukee hardcore band World I Hate have announced a new LP, Total Nuclear Annihilation, due March 6 via Convulse Records. Here’s the pulverizing lead single.

DEATH LENS – “DROWN”

LA punks Death Lens share another ripper from their upcoming LP What’s Left Now?, due 4/24 via Epitaph.

FAILURE – “THE AIR’S ON FIRE”

Alternative rock veterans and heavy shoegaze pioneers Failure have announced a new album, Location Lost, which features Hayley Williams on the song “The Rising Skyline.” That song isn’t out yet, but lead single “The Air’s On Fire” is. Read more about that here and pick up our exclusive vinyl variant here.

MY NEW BAND BELIEVE (BLACK MIDI’S CAMERON PICTON) – “NUMEROLOGY”

Former black midi bassist/vocalist Cameron Picton launched the new group My New Band Believe last year, and they’ve now announced their self-titled debut album, which will be out April 10 via Rough Trade. This song, however, is a standalone single that’s not on the album, but it’s really good.

GLEN HANSARD – “DIDN’T HE RAMBLE (LIVE AT FUNKHAUS)”

Glen Hansard announced the first part of a two-volume live album and shared the first single, which you can read more about here.

TANYA DONELLY & CHRIS BROKAW – “NOVVUS ANNIS ADIIT”
