The agreement covers film, television, theater, podcasts, and publishing, expanding Legend’s presence well beyond his long-established music career. Legend, who has earned 12 Grammy Awards and is among a select group of EGOT winners, will continue his touring representation with Creative Artists Agency (CAA). In this new partnership, UTA will guide his creative ventures across scripted and unscripted content, stage work, and new media opportunities.
Get Lifted Film Co., which Legend co-founded alongside Mike Jackson and Ty Stiklorius, has built a track record of producing both award-winning and commercially successful projects. The company was behind Jingle Jangle: A Christmas Journey (2020) for Netflix and La La Land (2016), which won Six Academy Awards. Its television portfolio includes Underground (2016-2017) and the docuseries Atlanta’s Missing and Murdered: The Lost Children (2020).
Legend also launched a residency in Las Vegas in 2022 with his Love in Las Vegas show at Zappos Theater at Planet Hollywood. He has been vocal about his ongoing interest in balancing multiple creative industries. Get Lifted Film Co. recently expanded into live theater production as well, including Broadway projects.
With UTA now guiding these aspects of his career, Legend appears poised to extend his influence beyond performance and further into creative development and ownership in the entertainment industry. Legend’s addition to their roster strengthens UTA’s presence at the intersection of music, film, and television.
