Pixies are on their summer tour now, where they spend two nights in each city on the route, playing 1990’s Bossanova and 1991’s Trompe Le Monde in full on the first night, and a classic Pixies set on the second. The tour hit NYC on Tuesday night (7/15), and following the beginning-to-end performances of both albums, Pixies did their often covered version of “In Heaven” from Eraserhead, followed by a few more favorites: “Here Comes Your Man,” “Where Is My Mind?,” and “Into the White.”
Kurt Vile & The Violators are opening all of these shows, and on Tuesday night they played a few songs each from Kurt’s most recent full-length album, 2022’s (watch my moves), and 2013’s Wakin on a Pretty Daze, as well as one each from 2015’s B’lieve I’m Goin Down… and his 2023 EP Back to Moon Beach.
