Kneecap address dropped terrorism charges against Mo Chara on new single “No Comment”

Irish rap trio Kneecap are back with another new single, “No Comment,” that addresses the terrorism charges against member Mo Chara which were thrown out in UK court in September. Produced by DJ Sub Focus, it’s a fiery banger and the band say, “It’s all about the police witch-hunt against Mo Chara. Free Palestine. Free the 6 counties. Fuck the peelers,” adding, “Us Irish are well used to it, been happening for centuries. Was a pleasure to work with Sub Focus on this, the man is a legend.”

“No Comment” will be released as a 7″ single on January 30 via Heavenly. It features artwork by Banksy — his ‘Royal Courts of Justice’ mural, used with permission — and their much-loved early single “Get Your Brits Out” makes its vinyl debut on the flipside.

Kneecap released “Sayōnara,” which was a collab with Orbital, back in September.

Though their North American tour was canceled, Kneecap are currently on a sold-out tour of the UK and Ireland and those dates are below.
