So many artists, so many songs, so little time. Each week we review a handful of new albums (of all genres), round up even more new music that we’d call “indie,” and talk about what metal is coming out. We post music news, track premieres, and more all day. We update a playlist weekly of some of our current favorite tracks. Here’s a daily roundup with a bunch of interesting, newly released songs in one place.

CARDI B – “IMAGINARY PLAYERZ”

Cardi B has shared another taste of her long-awaited album Am I The Drama?, and this one is basically a rework of Jay-Z’s 1997 song “Imaginary Players,” and it should come as no surprise that Cardi knows exactly how to put a fresh spin on classic ’90s New York rap.

STEVE LACY – “NICE SHOES”

Steve Lacy revealed plans for a new album called Oh Yeah? in a new Rolling Stone feature, and then he released new single “Nice Shoes,” an off-kilter pop song that juxtaposes its hazy vibes with a sputtering beat.

GHOSTFACE KILLAH – “METAPHYSICS”

Speaking of classic New York rap, Ghostface Killah has given us another taste of Supreme Clientele 2, the upcoming sequel to the beloved album he released 25 years earlier.

SUPERGRASS – “DON’T LEAVE ME ALONE”

Supergrass are releasing a 20th anniversary edition of their fifth album Road To Rouen on October 5. It’s a 2-disc set with 17 bonus tracks, including this previously unreleased song.

TEED (FKA TOTALLY ENORMOUS EXTINCT DINOSAURS) – “DESIRE” & “THE ECHO”

It looks like even Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs got tired of saying/writing the full name so now they are official TEED. With the news comes two new songs: the elegant “Desire” and dancefloor filler “The Echo.”

SILVER GORE – “ALL THE GOOD MEN” & “FOREVER”

London duo Silver Gore (singer Ava Gore and producer Ethan P. Flynn) make cheeky, anything-goes pop that recalls the heyday of the late ’00s. (Think MGMT, The Ting Tings, New Young Pony Club.) Get a rainbow blast of what they’re all about with “All the Good Men” and “Forever.” The Dogs in Heaven EP is out September 12 via

DUST – “DRAWBACKS”

Pining for the mid-’00s days when all the UK post-punk groups were releasing debut albums produced by Paul Epworth? Aussie band Dust have some of that feel. Their debut album Sky Is Falling was not produced by Paul Epworth but sounds like it coulda been.

ART D’ECCO – “OUTCAST” (EDDIE & ERNIE COVER)

Toronto ecclecti-pop provacateur Art d’Ecco, who released the excellent Serene Demon earlier this year, has just shared this cover of Eddie & Ernie’s 1965 soul classic “Outcast.” Says Art, “‘Outcast’ is an old Motown song, I read somewhere that it was a favourite of Lou Reed. My version is closer to the Animals’ 1966 cover of the song found on ‘Animalism’. I had just acquired a new resonator guitar and was looking for a way to incorporate it into a song. I’ve always loved how twangy and odd resonators sound when played like a traditional acoustic guitar. We recorded the song to tape with as much period appropriate gear as possible to keep things as raw and alive.”

CORONER – “RENEWAL”

Swiss thrash vets Coroner have announced their first album in over 30 years, Dissonance Theory, due October 17 via Century Media. Longtime vocalist/bassist Ron Broder and guitarist/songwriter/producer Tommy Vetterli made it with newer drummer Diego Rapacchietti (who joined Coroner in 2014), and first single “Renewal” finds the band sounding pretty intense.

RONBOY – “DISASTER” FT. MATT BERNINGER

The National’s Matt Berninger had Ronboy in his band during his tour for his new solo album, and he’s now joined her on hew new single “Disaster,”

MACHINE GIRL – “COME ON BABY, SCRAPE MY DATA”

The impossible-to-pigeonhole NYC band Machine Girl (who are now a trio) blur the lines between synthpunk, industrial, hip hop, and more on this chaotic new single.

CHE NOIR & THE OTHER GUYS – “SUGAR WATER”

Buffalo boom bap devotee Che Noir and production duo The Other Guys have announced a new album, No Validation, due August 29 via HiPNOTT Records. It features 38 Spesh, Smoke DZA, Skyzoo, Ransom, Jae Skeese, and others, and today we get this appealing new single.

BIA & YOUNG MIKO – “BIRTHDAY BEHAVIOR”

“Whole Lotta Money” rapper BIA’s birthday is tomorrow, and she celebrates with a new song that features Puerto Rican rapper Young Miko.

THE ACACIA STRAIN – “HOLY MOONLIGHT”

Death metal/hardcore veterans The Acacia Strain are still at the top of their game, and everything we’ve heard from their upcoming album You Are Safe From God Here has been killer. New single “Holy Moonlight” is no exception. And if you like what you hear, pre-order our exclusive “mattal gear solid” vinyl variant.

RISE AGAINST – “BLACK CROWN” (ft. ANDY HULL)

Rise Against’s new album Ricochet is out today and one of its treats is a great collaboration with Manchester Orchestra’s Andy Hull. Our exclusive translucent orange crush vinyl variant is also available now.
