Orchestral folk-pop catharsis meets festive charity in Keeping the Dream Alive by The Marsh Band –

The Marsh Family rendered the true meaning of Christmas into their 2025 charity single, Keeping the Dream Alive. As flickers of 12-string guitar patterns and intimate harmonies ease you in, the arrangement swells into a folk-pop feat that flickers between lullaby-esque stillness and West End-worthy theatrics. Through the sparks of synergy in their layered vocals, the family of six from Kent deliver one of the most resolving releases of the year. It’s not just the soaring crescendos, the glockenspiel shimmer, or the brass-blown bursts that tighten the throat; it’s the sense that this track was created to carry more than seasonal sentiment.

The single was released in support of the Clark Family’s Christmas Light Display, a yearly tribute to their son Jack, which raises funds for East Kent Hospitals Charity’s Tiny Toes campaign. Rather than simply lending their voices to the cause, the Marsh Family embody it. The result lands like a warm light show for the ears, illuminating memory, fragility, and hope in one delicately constructed piece. From the stripped-back verses led by Tess, Ella, Alfie and Tom, to the orchestral climax full of bells, timpani, and emotional heft, Keeping the Dream Alive carries the quiet weight of what it means to remember, to grieve, and to give.

After a year of gigging and recording their forthcoming debut album Hollow Chapters, this is their only studio single of 2025, and it lands with enough emotional clarity to see listeners through the dark days of December.
