Afghan Whigs share first new music since 2022: “House of I”
Afghan Whigs are back with their first new music in nearly four years. Where 2022’s How Do You Burn? was on the pristine side, “House Of I” has that classic, gritty Afghan Whigs sound with that raw-throated Greg Dulli delivery soaked in swagger.
“Laid this one down in New Orleans last summer,” Dulli says of the song. “Was looking for an up tempo banger and feel like we found one here.” Listen below.
No word on whether “House of I” is the first taste of a new album, but Afghan Whigs will be on their 40th anniversary tour starting April 25 in Woodstock. They’re on the road with Mercury Rev, that’s a great double bill, and they’ll hit NYC on April 30 at Webster Hall. All dates are listed below.
