So many artists, so many songs, so little time. Each week we review a handful of new albums (of all genres), round up even more new music that we’d call “indie,” and talk about what metal is coming out. We post music news, track premieres, and more all day. We update a playlist weekly of some of our current favorite tracks. Here’s a daily roundup with a bunch of interesting, newly released songs in one place.

ROBBER ROBBER – “PIECES”

“This song is about trying to get the whole thing, but only managing to get pieces of it,” says Robber Robber’s latest preview of their upcoming album Two Wheels Move the Soul. “Or thinking you have the whole thing, and seeing it get picked apart slowly or shattered in an instant. It’s about building your dream out of rusty scrapyard bits and navigating difficult terrain with no map. Every day mental gymnastics, echolocation, wading slowly through murky water.”

KOYO – “WHAT I’M WORTH”

Koyo’s sophomore album Barely Here is out in May, and they’ve given us another early taste with “What I’m Worth.”

KEVIN MORBY – “DIE YOUNG”

Kevin says “Die Young” is his favorite song off of upcoming album Little Wide Open and “the one that I was most excited about while writing and recording. ‘Die Young’ was born out of melody I wrote during a soundcheck in a small village in France, summer of 2024, and finished later in 2025. A song I chiselled away at, little by little, always putting it back in my pocket, excited to take it out later. I’m really happy where it ended up.” Little Wide Open is out May 15.

ELUCID & SEBB BASH – “THE LORAX” (FT. BILLY WOODS)

ELUCID’s new album with Swiss producer Seb Bash, I Guess U Had To Be There, arrives this Friday, and ahead of that he’s shared a final advance single, which features “The Lorax,” which features his Armand Hammer partner billy woods.

BILLY FULLER (BEAK>) – “THREE BLIND MICE”

Beak> bassist Billy Fuller is set to release his solo debut, Fragments on April 3 and he’s shared a second track from it. This is me trying to be my most dramatic & epic. Something that keeps evolving on themes until it has nowhere else to go. A slight nod to Georgio Moroder’s ‘Tears’ but not really”.

WENDY EISENBERG – “VANITY PARADOX”

“These lyrics came out in one wild, puzzling chunk I’m still deciphering,” Wendy Eisenberg says of the third single off their new self-titled album. “Mari [Rubio] told me it sounds like how anxiety feels, which shocked me — but is ultimately just true. From what I can tell, it’s about the ways we cope with existing among others, and how it feels to want to be perceived as a good person by your friends, because your curiosity about yourself has, paradoxically, obscured you to yourself. It’s also about healing from trauma — specifically how the healing process brings you so close to yourself that you can’t see anything clearly, and you are so dazzled by the life surrounding you that you are stunned when you remember that you are the same person who experienced the trauma that got you here.”

MEI SEMONES – TOOTH FAIRY FT. JOHN ROSEBORO

“This song is about a day I was meeting John Roseboro at his friends’ bookstore,” Mei Semones says of “Tooth Fairy” which features Roseboro. “I got off the train in Greenpoint and we happened to have been on the same train, and we ran into each other on the platform. He smiled and told me his tooth had just fallen out, and held out his hand to show me. So I was inspired to write a song about that and our friendship. Thanks to John for being down to join me on the song and always being a good friend and inspiration to me Musically, one of my favorite parts is the arpeggiated guitar chords, inspired by a Guinga tune I learned.” Kurage is out April 10.

DUA SALEH – “I DO, I DO”

Dua Saleh’s second album, Of Earth & Wires, is out in May, and they’ve given us another preview with “I Do, I Do,” which they say “is rooted in Sudanese colloquialisms and idioms, using the vernacular as a vessel for something much larger – societal collapse, and the subsequent destruction of the Earth. The survivors, post-apocalypse, now scrounge for resources, Wild Wild West style. We incorporated an Oud into the song as well as a nod to Sudan.”

LAUREN AUDER – “NO OUTLINE”

London-based composer, producer, and vocalist Lauren Auder will release her sophomore album, Whole World As Vigil, on March 27 via untitled (recs). She’s shared “no outline,” which she calls “the most literal track on the record in some regards, when going through a major break up the world itself fills ready to be swallowed into the gap left in your life. The song is built around one refrain, that acknowledges that feeling but refuses to let it shape the world forever.”

ORA COGAN – “THE SMOKE”

Ora Cogan’s first album for Sacred Bones, Hard Hearted Woman, is out this week and here’s one last preview before the whole thing is out. “’The Smoke’ is about theatre of the absurd. It is about how humans can be ridiculous and still beautiful. How we can hero worship, villainize and romanticize each other. Sometimes perception shifts depending on how and where the light is hitting. This song is about losing faith in people and continuing to bend towards love.”

HIT LIKE A GIRL – “ONCE AND FOR ALL (I GOTTA FORGET YOU)”

Hit Like a Girl’s new album Burning at Both Ends arrives later this month, and they’ve given us a final preview with the anthemic “One and For All (I Gotta Forget You).” “The title and main repeated lyric acts as a mantra,” Nicolle Maroulis says. “It’s infectious. This song places the listener at a 2010 DIY show experiencing a newly discovered indie band. Like so much of Hit Like A Girl’s music, ‘Once And For All’ artfully transforms a disappointment into a uniquely fun and engaging experience. When performed live, there’s a quality of unpretentious reverence that gets the whole room moving. The tension between the cyclical keyboard and dissonant guitar lines evokes yearning to be free while still feeling tethered, and deciding to once and for all, assert a boundary.”

LES BIG BYRD – “HÖKVIND”

It’s been a while since we’ve heard from Swedish band Les Big Byrd but they’re back with new album Ruin Everything that will be out June 5 via Chimp Limbs. These guys have always been on the heavy psych tip and “Hökvind” is an obvious tip of the hat to their spacerock ancestors.

NARA’S ROOM – “TUCSON”

Brooklyn-based band Nara’s Quartet announced a new album, Tearless, thoughtless, due out May 15 via Mtn. Laurel. About new single “Tucson,” bandleader Nara Avakian says, “”This song was partly inspired by the final scene in the Linda Ronstadt documentary, where she is singing with her family in her Tucson living room. It’s about intergenerational trauma and the Genocide of the Armenian people, and my attempts to reconcile the past, present, and future marked by my family’s loss of their home and their identity.”

GENRE IS DEATH – “ATTRACTIVE PEOPLE”

NYC duo Genre is Death have a new 7″ single out via In the Red and “Attractive People” should appeal to fans of psych-garage acts like Jon Spencer.

CAITHLIN DE MARRAIS – “WHERE’S MY BODY TONIGHT?”

Not only does Caithlin De Marrais of Rainer Maria contribute to American Football’s new album, she’s also releasing a new solo album, VOWES, on Skeletal Lamping this year. She produced new single “Where’s My Body Tonight” with her Rainer Maria bandmate Kaia Fischer.

ROBYN – “BLOW MY MIND”

“‘Blow My Mind’ is the one song on the album about my son,” Robyn says of the latest single off her new album Sexistential. “I was in that early stage when I was with him all the time, and something about that closeness opened the song up to me again. Listening back to the original I thought, ‘ I think it’s one of the best songs I ever recorded, and I’m just gonna do it again.’ I rewrote the lyrics and I love this version’s rawness. It’s not cute, because it’s not cute with children. They’re cute, but the experience isn’t. It’s very punk.”

ICEAGE – “STAR”

Danish group Iceage are back with their first new music in five years.

LIP CRITIC – “JACKPOT”
